The Last Song stars Miley Cryus and Greg Kinnear with a host of other unknowns. The movie is another of Nicholas Sparks' sappy love stories which include The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, etc.
The story is generic and very predictable. The movie is far too formulaic and really doesn't do anything different or surprising, and that's too bad. Sappy movies usually don't do anything different but come on, something!
Greg Kinnear is a fantastic actor and does a nice job in this movie, but the rest of the cast is awful. Miley Cyrus is a terrible actress. I have no doubt she was only cast in this movie because of the teenybopper crowd that would buy tickets because she was included.
To summarize, this movie sucked. I actually really like The Notebook and a few other sappy movies, but this one is awful and I can't say that enough. My wife who fully enjoys sappy movies also thought it was terrible so that might help some of you women out there reading this. Please for the love of God skip this one!
